It's a brave new world. In the far future, people no longer know what to believe...Did Kyle Straker ever exist? Or were his prophecies of human upgrades nothing more than a hoax? Peter Vincent is nearly 16, and has never thought about the things that Strakerites believe. His father - David Vincent, creator of the artificial bees that saved the world's crops - made sure of that. When the Strakerites pronounce that another upgrade is imminent, Peter starts to uncover a conspiracy amongst the leaders of the establishment, a conspiracy that puts him into direct conflict with his father. But it's not a good idea to pick a fight with someone who controls all the artificial bees in the world.

What, if any, were the bad points in the book? What did you feel the author did poorly? Tell why you didn't like the book.
This is where you give a brief summary of the book. Tell about at least two events that took place in the story. Don't give away the ending but give a 20 second synopsis that describes the story.
Without giving away the ending tell whether or not the ending was satisfying. Did the end fit the story?

Human.4 Book Review

Setting
This book takes place in the future in somewhat of a country area (how I imagined it). When the entire world is down and all the crops are dying due to a lack of pollen and bugs in general, Peter’s father David invents this bee to create pollen and drop it on crops to helps them flourish naturally, unnaturally. I felt like this was a pretty genius idea. I liked this book overall because of the creativity that the characters had in order to save the planet in a nut shell, and over some bees dying. It’s really crazy the way that bugs help preserve the earth. People always complain but this book helped me realize how important they really are to our environment.
Characters
I feel like the author, Mike Lancaster did a very good job of writing this book. The book was not very predictable and I like the way mike was able to just make a whole new world with people being upgraded and made better. I liked how the main conflict was, Peter going against the “Man” trying to find a fault in modern day evolution, and that put him in direct conflict with his father, the inventor of the electronic bees. I also enjoyed the fact that Alpha and Peter weren’t crazy in love from the get go, they liked each other but it wasn’t like a Twilight series, much more like Hunger Games with Katniss and Gale/Peeta (she has two). Overall I thought that this book would not be very good because it has a good looking cover, I dear say the amount of interest that went into the cover went into the writing as well. I could not put this book down.
Good Points
I didn’t think that Lancaster slipped up very much; the book was fast paced, left room for the next book and also still made it intriguing and heart wrenching that is the way I like them. If a book is too slow I can guarantee that I will not finish it. Lancaster has a way to make a person care for the character they’re reading about without the character even being real. Lancaster did a very good job on this book and there is not much I could complain about unless there isn’t another book coming out.
Bad Points
none
Plot Summary
I really enjoyed this book, if you are into conspiracies and things that that, you would like this book, one of the biggest events in this book is when scientists have made mechanical robot bees to help save the environment and grow crops better. I felt like this was a pretty ingenious idea, although Peter (the main character) is not buying it all, he doubts everything which will end up saving him in the end.

Setting
Somewhere in the future
Characters
Peter Vincent son of David Vincent who invented mechanical bees that saved the world's crops.
Good Points
I liked how it answered questions from Human 0.4. There was action and it was face-paced.
Plot Summary
The line between what is human and what is technology has blurred. Everything is coded and recorded. Peter was taught to believe that everything about the Strakerites is wrong. They are insane. Peter meets Alpha who is a Stakerite and she tells him and shows him evidence that another upgrade is imminent and there is a government conspiracy to cover it up. Peter's dad is heading the conspiracy.
Ending
I liked the ending and it leaves room for more to come.
