Setting
The story starts in this place that is not named but it's hot and it looks like a dessert so the characters think they are in Texas.
Characters
The main character name is Michael Vey and he was born with powers that he is able to shook people when he touches them or while they touch metal but later on in the book he learns how to control and do more abilitys with is. A problem Michael is facing is the Elgen they are trying to kidnap him and his friends so they can make an army of children that have special powers so Michael is trying to take them down.
Good Points
I like the book because the author put enough action inside the book that made me love the book he also put good story in it taking about Michael's past and how it was dealing with his power so it really made me like the characters in the book.
Bad Points
The thing the author could of done better was not put to much flash backs that weren't that necessary he also made the flash back a whole chapter long that i thought was too much which made me sometimes skip them.
Plot Summary
So after Michael and his friends finish finding out that everyone's families are okay and they find out where they are. They set out to steal one of the Elgens most secured army boats but start to realize that not all of them will survive.

Michael girlfriend Taylor is experiencing new powers she starts to realize she can see the future but it's not so clear it sometimes looks weird but everything she saw has come true and she doesn't like it because she finds out stuff she doesn't want to know.
Ending
The ending gets left off on a cliff hanger so Michael and all of his friends are fighting off the Elgen but there is just to much of them coming about two of michaels friends have died and Michael starts to thinks its all his fault and Michael comes up with an idea to save the rest of his friends but it might cost his life but he still takes the chance so he climb this tower while lightning is going on and he's planning on absorbing the energy to make a big lighting strike. When the lighting strikes he makes a big attack which ends up turning the sand into glass and it kills all the Elgen except a few but he saves his friends but he is nowhere to be found.

Fall Of Hades

Setting
The setting isn’t really in the same place the whole story. A lot of it takes place in them traveling across the United states and across the ocean. There is a good chunk of the book where the setting takes place on the islands of Tuvalu. The last setting is the battleship, the Joule. They spend a good amount of time on this ship trying to blow it up.
Characters
Michael Vey is the main character and probably my favorite character. His appearance is the opposite of what a hero would look like. He is undersized and not very strong, but he is very courageous and brave. That’s what I like about him the most. The second character is Nichelle, at first she works for Dr.Hatch and actually causes a lot of pain on the Glows. Her power is to be able to drain the others powers, but she later figures out that she can increase their powers too. She eventually helps the Glows in escaping Dr.Hatch and becomes a good guy. If it wasn’t for her this book wouldn’t exist. Michael Vey in the other books absolutely hated and feared Nichelle, but by the end of this book they’re almost best friends.
Good Points
Richard Paul Evans wrote this book very well I thought. The book exploded with excitement at the beginning and carried on through the book. The ending was my favorite because Evans set up to make me believe it was going to be something different. He always had twists which made me never really know what was going to happen next. That made it a good good and fun read. The only thing I didn’t like was how it was repetitive. I was always wondering what was going to happen next, but it happened so much towards the end of the book I knew it was going to be a twist. A lot of the rising action was the same in a sens

Plot Summary
Fall Of Hades, Richard Paul Evans has a main character named Michael Vey. Michael Vey and the other Glows are on a mission to find the Joule. The Joule is a huge battleship that is ran by the villain Dr.Hatch. This book picks up right where book five left off and that is with everyone wondering who “The Voice” is. Eventually you find out who he is and it was who you kind of hoped it would be. The second main event I would say is the sinking of the Joule, in the previous books there had been multiple attempts on sinking this ship. One attempt that actually killed one of the Glows. This attempt which was successful also killed another Glow.
Ending
The ending was satisfying because it finally revealed who “The Voice’ is. Which was a question for everyone not just throughout this book, but the whole series. It was satisfying to finally know who it was and how much that person meant to Michael Vey. It was a very sweet and tender moment. Personally, I got an exciting, fun read, and I finally had a hard time putting the book down. It was exactly what I wanted this series to be and exactly how I wanted it to end.

Fall of Hades

Setting
The book is based in present day traveling all around the world. The world which is under the illusion of the Elgen, believing that the Elgen is charitable and kind when they are more evil than those who have confronted the world with war. Time is important to the setting because by placing this story in present day the Elgen can hide their evil intentions with virtually free power for any country who allows them access. The need of power in the present world gives the Elgen the perfect deception and control while the tensions of war force the Electroclan to hide so that they are not recognized as terrorists. Location has little importance in the setting of the book except to show how widespread the enemy has become.
Characters
Evans writes the books from both sides. He uses Hatch the leader of the Elgen to show just how terrible the problem is. Hatch is used strategically through the book to control the pace and create suspense. Evans also uses Michael to show the human struggle to survive and to show human response to events. Evans uses the characters well for a young adult book however for more advanced readers it is basic and predictable.
Good Points
I enjoyed the book because it never lost my attention. Evans does a good job of holding his readers captive within the pages of his books by including the antagonists narrative as well as the protagonist. Evans uses the already existing world to build the dangers for the protagonists and to create support for the antagonist. He does well to show the difference in each person and the necessity to accept the differences in one another. Evans both subtly and bluntly at times addresses the problems in society refusing to believe that anything could be different than what we see with our own eyes.
Bad Points
Evans does not do well to surprise the advanced reader however. When reading his book it was often easily predictable. The downfall of his books was the same as the good uniqueness of his book. As Evans uses both the antagonist’s and the protagonist’s narratives to captivate readers it makes the books events easy to predict.
Plot Summary
The book Michael Vey: Fall of Hades written by Richard Paul Evans is the sixth book in its series. The book follows the adventures of a teenager named Michael Vey and his friends, most of which have electricity based abilities and Michael seems to be the strongest of them. They have decided to stop running from the evil corporation known as the elgen and have decided that they must cripple them before it becomes too late. Michael still has a lot to learn about his abilities and less time to learn about them than it would require. The biggest question that has come to his mind is whether or not he will survive his growing powers which get stronger with each passing day.
Ending
The end of the book Fall of Hades is satisfying to a point. Evans ended the book to lead into another so there are many questions left unanswered however many of the previous questions have been answered. As many thriller books end Evans ended his book with a great battle which of course seemed impossible for the protagonists to win. As the book did end well and it will lead to future books it was predictable. The author works in the end to show that there is more unknown in the world than will ever be known and that the unknown is to be more respected than it is feared.

Michael Vey: Fall of Hades

User Review

Setting
This tale is set in the world of today. Throughout the entire book, everyone travels across the planet, going from Taiwan, to Utah, to the island nation of what used to be Tuvalu and more. Although the entire book goes across the planet, the main conflict happens towards the end of the book on the island of Hades. Modern and advanced technology combine in this science fiction to cohere the sense of a sophisticated and semi-unknown danger with the sense of action and thrills.
Characters
Evans of course gives the most background and personality to the main character, Michael Vey. When Michael was a young boy, before he was eight years old, didn’t have control over his powers and put his dad into cardiac arrest by shocking him with many volts of electricity. He also had to move from state to state, all across the country whenever someone found out about his powers. Overall, Michael had quite a traumatic and unpleasant childhood which made him always have the mindset that he is responsible for everything that happens and that he has to carry the weight of everything on his shoulders. While we know so much about Michaels interesting background, this particular book in the series shows us the background of Welch. He was a former football player, going to college, delivering pizzas for a living. He then one day gets a job at Elgen Corporation as a security guard which eventually leads him to being second in command.
Good Points
Evans uses some of the best writing styles in this book that I have read. He separates the story into sections and successfully uses a different point of view in each section. Whenever the section is about Michael Vey, whether alone or not, Evans uses the 1st person point of view. Michael will say I, me, we, etc. When Evans switches to a different character in a different section, he uses the 3rd person point of view. In the parts of the book when it is talking about Welch being on the run in Taiwan, he will say, Welch said, “…” etc.
Plot Summary
Richard Paul Evans’ book, Michael Vey: Fall of Hades starts off with EGG Welch running for his life from the Elgen in Taiwan. He has recently come short of catching Michael while they were inside the Elgen’s grasp. Welch reaches out to Vey and the rest of the electroclan in an attempt to stop the Elgen in their tracks and rid the world of them for good. The gang reaches the islands of what used to be Tuvalu, where they fight the Elgen forces head on on the island of Hades.
Ending
The way that Evans ends the book is both satisfying and upsetting at the same time. There are some issues that are resolved, at least temporarily, from what I could gather. Michael resolves the immediate conflict, but in doing so, he creates a new one that will have to be answered in the next and final book.
