Overview

The epic conclusion to the New York Times–bestselling Summoner trilogy!

Fletcher and his friends fight for survival in the ether, where they pursue a mortally dangerous quest to rebuild their world and broker peace.

Even as hatred threatens to turn friend into foe, Fletcher must lead a small army of soldiers into battle to protect his ancestral homeland, and face his biggest challenge yet: his nemesis, the albino orc, Khan, who seeks to destroy everything Fletcher holds dear.

Discuss the setting and the role it played. Describe when and where the story takes place.
Who are the main characters? What problems or conflicts does each character face in the book? Briefly describe each character.
What are the good points of this book? What did the author do well? Tell why you liked the book.
What, if any, were the bad points in the book? What did you feel the author did poorly? Tell why you didn't like the book.
This is where you give a brief summary of the book. Tell about at least two events that took place in the story. Don't give away the ending but give a 20 second synopsis that describes the story.
Without giving away the ending tell whether or not the ending was satisfying. Did the end fit the story?

The Battlemage

User Review

Setting
The setting is based on medieval times and is mainly in the mains characters home lands.
Characters
The main character is Fletcher and some of his companions such as Sylva, Othello, Athena, and Ignatius. But this book more focuses on Fletcher who has to rebuild his home and eventually defend it.
Good Points
Great job describing the setting and keeping you interested. Especially in this book, you get attached to the characters.
Bad Points
I found this book to not be as exciting as the others in the series until the end. I was also disappointed at how the antagonist met his demise.
Plot Summary
Fletcher is reunited with his home that he never knew, but it lays in ruins. Over the book, he mainly rebuilds and fortifies his home.
Ending
The ending was fantastic but still left me wanting more even though it was the end of the book.
